ACN is Breaking Tradition in 2017

Hello Everyone! All I can say for how I’m feeling right now is WOW! We’ve hit the ground running in 2017 faster, stronger and with more momentum than ever before. I’ve seen the start of 25 new years in ACN, and I can say with 100 percent certainty that I have never in 25 years felt better or more excited about ACN than I do at this very moment. You heard it here first: 2017 will be our greatest year yet. This isn’t just marketing, and it certainly isn’t hype. This is a fact. How do I know? Because everything we did in 2016 was about building a foundation for an incredible 2017 – and that foundation is rock solid!

It’s our tradition to start a new year at ACN with a global theme – something that sets the tone and the vision for the company worldwide. But this year we’re breaking tradition. We’re not starting with one theme – we’re starting with two!

Our first global theme is We Are ACN. This is a continuation of a way of thinking we put into place last year, and we believe it’s important enough to be a driving force behind 2017 as well. But what exactly does We Are ACN even mean? Of course we are ACN – after all, we are a part of ACN. But it goes deeper than that. It’s about unity. But it’s more than just looking unified – it’s actually being unified. There is a difference. Let me give you an example. If three links are intertwined and one link can support 20 pounds; one can support 40; and one can support 100, how much total weight can those rings support? If you answered 160 pounds you would be wrong. The answer is 20 pounds. Remember, we are only as strong as our weakest link. It doesn’t matter that one link can support 100 pounds if your weakest link can only support 20 pounds.

We have a responsibility to ourselves – to become stronger and better, because if we aren’t the best version of ourselves, we can’t be any good for anyone else. But We Are ACN means we have a responsibility to our teams. We have to support each other, look out for each other and raise each other up – or we will all crumble. After all, a rising tide lifts all the boats, even the smallest, weakest ones. But we have to push people too. It’s good for you, it’s good for them and it’s good for the success of your team. Don’t let your people off the hook. If you aren’t pushing your people and they aren’t willing to be pushed to be better, then you are wasting your time and theirs. Sometimes the greatest momentum comes from the smallest push.

Our second theme for 2017 is A Year of Harvest. We planted the seed in 2016 and now it’s time to go to harvest. It’s time to be a participant in your business and not just a spectator. A spectator is someone who shows up for meetings, claps at the appropriate times and then goes on about their day. A participant is holding PBRs, going to every training possible, focusing on personal development every day, exceeding your customer minimums and pushing your team to do the same – not because you have to, but because that’s what champions do. Just showing up isn’t enough. ACN – like life – is not a spectator sport!

Remember; count what counts. We are in the people business. If you focus on becoming the best version of yourself while raising your team up and pushing them to be better, 2017 will be a transformative year for you and your business. Success in ACN comes down to that. I’ve never been more proud or more excited to say that We Are ACN – and I hope you feel the same. Here’s to an incredible 2017 and beyond.

Until Next Time,

Greg
